Gate 1 – Måløy’s shopping street – offers a wide range of shopping, services and amenities.
Most shop employees and people working in the service industry also speak English.

Pubs/Restaurants
If you want to unwind with a beer, a glass of wine or a dram, there are several options, both day and night.
All restaurants serve beer, wine and spirits, and the Jibben pub is licensed to sell beer and wine. Alcohol can be served from 11am.
All restaurants offer an à la carte menu.
In summer, many of the restaurants have outside tables.
Cafés
In the centre of town, at the north end of Gate 1, you will find T&D Kaffebar with its many inventive ways to serve coffee.
Most restaurants are open as cafés during the day.
In summer, two cafés have outside tables.
Snacks & fast food
There are snack bars by Torget and at Shell Select.
24 hours:
Shell Select, which is situated in Sjøgata to the north of Torget, is open 24 hours for the sale of snacks, chocolate, newspapers and magazines. You can also buy a selected range of groceries here.
Pizzeria:
There is a pizzeria at the south end of Gate 1.
Accommodation
A variety of accommodation is available in Måløy, including hotels and guesthouses.
Vinmonopol (liquor store)
There is a Vinmonopol, for the sale of alcoholic drinks, on Gate 1 in the centre of Måløy.
Beer
Beer is sold in all grocery shops and supermarkets including Rema 1000, Spar Reed Mat, Spar Mat (Raudeberg) and Spesialen.
Groceries
Rema 1000 is situated on Måløy Brygge and Spar Reed Mat is on Gate 1.
Spar Mat has a delicatessen counter.
Fishmonger
Måløy’s fishmonger is called Havfruen and is situated on Gate 1 at Gotteberg.
Newspapers
All newsagents/kiosks, petrol stations and supermarkets sell the daily Oslo papers, VG and Dagbladet, as well as the local Måløy newspaper, Fjordenes Tidende.
Bergens Tidende, Dagens Næringsliv, Sunnmørsposten, Firdaposten and Fiskaren are also available.

Kiosks
You can buy cigarettes and tobacco, fruit, chocolate and a wide variety of reading material from kiosks. Spesialen also sells beer and a limited selection of groceries, as well as a good range of health foods.

It is possible to rent videos at several places in Måløy, including Shell Select, Video Vest and Narvesen.

Hairdressers
There are six hairdressers in Måløy. Five are situated on Gate 1 and the sixth is on Måløy Brygge.
Opticians
There are two opticians where you can buy new glasses or have your old ones repaired. Hugo Farstad is situated in the centre of town just by Torget.
Travel goods
Motehjørnet, Bekka and Papir og Renhold all stock a wide selection of travel goods.
Pharmacy
The pharmancy is situated on Måløy Brygge.
Dentists
Tannklinikken, a national health practice (tel. +47 57851155), is situated on the second floor of Gjensidigegården in the centre of Måløy.

There is also a private dental practice here (tel. +47 57851877).
There is another private dental practice in P-senteret in the centre of Måløy (tel. +47 57850995). An orthodontist also has a practice in the same building (tel. +47 57851960).
There is a further private dental practice on Måløy Brygge (tel. +47 57849383).
Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy treatment is available at Treningssenteret in Måløy.
Beauticians and chiropodists
Vågsøy Fotklinikk is situated on Gate 2 by the fire station.
Måløy Hud- og Fotpleie is situated towards the north end of Gate 1.
Health foods
There are several health food shops in Måløy, including Spesialen.
Doctors
There is a medical centre at Sjukeheimen.
Tanning studios
If you feel like you need some colour, there are two tanning studios in the centre of Måløy.
Florists
Do you want to surprise someone with some flowers? Måløy Blomsterforretning and Orkideen sells and delivers all types of flowers.

Furniture
The largest furniture store in the district has a wide selection of quality furniture.
Glassmagasin (department store)
Glassmagasinet is situated on Måløy's pedestrian precinct and stocks a wide selection of glass, ceramics, crystalware, kitchen equipment and galley equipment.
Post office
The post office is located on Måløy Brygge in the centre of Måløy.
ATM / Bank
Three of the banks in Måløy have ATMs.
All banks have a bureau de change.
Library
The library is in the centre of town, on the second floor of the Vinmonopolet building.
Car rental
If you want to explore the area surrounding Måløy, it is possible to rent a car from Hertz, which is located at G-Sport Måløy in the centre of town.
Computers
Computer equipment is available in five different shops, including Klart Svar, Expert and Elkjøp Måløy.
Christian organisations
The Salvation Army has its own premises and staff in Måløy.
Havly Velferdsstasjon is open on weekdays and is situated in Bedehuset.
