Måløy is centrally located on the west coast of Norway and, with the North Sea as its nearest neighbour, it is Norway's second largest fishing port.

The quays (both public and private) have a total length of roughly 3,500 metres, with ample depth, and there are good moorings for all types of vessel.

Shipyard / Repairs / Conversions
There are five shipyards in Måløy, of which four have different-sized slipways to suit all types of work. The slipways have the capacity to accommodate boats up to 4,500 tonnes. A specialised workforce at all levels guarantees quality work. The quick pace of work and modern equipment ensure that repairs and conversions are carried out in record time, which in turn means less time in the yard. At Båtbygg AS, the construction of a new dry dock is under way and is expected to be completed in 2004.The dry dock will be able to take boats up to 125 metres long and will have an approach width of 26 metres. A new hall is also being built at Blaalid, which will enhance the company's efficiency. The hall is expected to be finished in 2004.
Marine electrical equipment / Marine electronics
Companies specialising in both marine electrical equipment and electronics have highly qualified teams of engineers and fitters who are ready to provide the best service.
Sandblasting
The shipyards and a specialised sandblasting company use modern equipment to perform sandblasting efficiently and swiftly.
Bunkers
The harbour's three bunker stations supply an average of 200,000 litres of fuel every day. Four bunker boats fuel the vessels while the fish is being unloaded. The bunker stations and quays are right by the shipping lane, soit is not necessary to go out of your way – all you need to do is slow down. Bunkers can be supplied in port or in the shipping lane by bunker boats – in other words, swiftly, efficiently and without any downtime. Bunkers are supplied at any time of day or night.
Provisions
Our five suppliers of ship provisions offer a wide selection of quality goods, including:
- fresh meat and meat cuts from the delicatessen
- fresh bread from the bakers
- fresh milk
- fresh fish
All goods are delivered at the quay while you load, unload or bunker. And if you are just passing by, you can ring in an order and pickup the goods from a quay (Fiskerikaien) that is only 40 metres from the shipping lane. So you don't need to go out of your way to make a short stop. All suppliers also deliver transit goods.
Nautical charts
You can buy nautical charts from Fønstelien Bokhandel by Torgetin the centre of Måløy. Trawl nets / Gear repairs / Ship chandlers Norway's leading manufacturer and supplier of trawling equipment and rope products is located in Måløy. As there are also ship chandlers in Måløy, this means that we can supply the full range of gear for all types of fishing. You can get your nets and trawling equipment repaired and service at the workshops while you deliver your catch. You can also store fishing gear here when it is not being used. The net and equipment workshops have excellent quay facilities.
Ice factory
There is an ice factory situated in the middle of the harbour. Br.Tennebø has one of the largest production capacities in Norway.
Bait
All types of bait are supplied to the fishing fleet by several companies based in the harbour area.
Washing stations
There are three modern washing stations, where you can wash down your vessel quickly and efficiently.
Pontoon station
Floats and other rescue equipment are sold and serviced at Selstad's modern pontoon station.
Divers / Frogmen
It is possible to get divers/frogmen at short notice. These services are provided by a specialist company and the Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue.

Quay for fishing boats
A special quay has been built for fishing boats right in the heart of Måløy. Mooring at the quay is like parking your boat on Måløy`s main shopping street, Gate 1. The quay is 180 metres long and 7 metres deep at low tide. There are also long quays at Moldøen that are suitable for fishing boats.
Redningsselskapet – The Norwegian Society for Sea Rescue
Redningsselskapet has a station at Måløy, where the fleet consists of the cruiser "Platou" and the man-overboard boat "Simrad Buholmen".
Seafood catch
Trading companies in Måløy have skilled workforces and a wide contact network in the market, which is advantageous in terms of turnover. In Måløy, it is possible for fishermen to load up the containers, haulage trucks and cold-store ships themselves. And if necessary, there is a professional stowing crew on shore to help you with the operation.
Storage of frozen catch
It is possible to rent cold stores in Måløy for the storage of frozen products such as line fish, trawled fish and pelagic fish.

Måløy is one of Norway's leading commercial harbours with major freight operations for containers and frozen and general cargo. Måløy is a major transhipment port for general cargo and frozen cargo from other parts of Norway.
From Måløy Harbour, there are shipping routes to Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Bremen, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Gothenburg and Antwerp.
These harbours are transit ports for goods being exported all over the world.
Måløy also has routes to Århus, Hirtshals, Cuxhaven, Lysekil, Copenhagen, Halmstad, Fredericia, Aberdeen, Ijmuiden and Grimsby.
There are direct deliveries by cold freight to Japan, China and the Far East, as well as Poland, Russia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Murmansk and Germany.
Maersk, Veritasruten, Green Catering, CTG, Stavangerske, Mørerutene, Euro Containers Line and Silver Sea all dock here weekly.
Nor-Cargo and Hurtigruta, Norwegian Coastal Voyage, dock here daily.
Måløy Harbour is an EEA-regulated harbour. The harbour is serviced by container trucks with a capacity of up to 45 tonnes.
The constant activity in freight and transhipment operations means that the harbour never sleeps.
Tugs
Måløy has its own fleet of tugs and cranes that are available atany time of day or night.

Måløy has a harbour pilot, who has his own pilot boat.

Quay for tourist and passenger vessels
A quay has been built in the centre of Måløy for tourist boats and other passenger vessels.
Mooring here is equivalent to parking on Måløy's main shopping street, Gate 1.
The quay is 180 metres long and 7 metres deep at low tide. There are also good quay facilities at Moldøen for larger tourist and passenger vessels. The quays here are deep-water quays and are over 10 metres deep.
Quay for small coastal fishing boats and pleasure craftThere is also a quay in the centre of Måløy for small coastal fishingboats and pleasure craft. The pontoon jetty has floats on eitherside and is 45 metres long.
